Childbirth Education Classes — FREE!
PERSONALIZED CLASSES TO FIT YOUR NEEDS AND YOUR SCHECULE
Childbirth education offers information and support to expectant mothers and their coaches. Information will be provided on labor and delivery, comfort measures, postpartum care, caring for the newborn, breastfeeding and more.
Childbirth classes can build confidence in your body’s ability to give birth and provide the opportunity to discuss any fears you might have with the instructor as well as with other couples in the class. It helps to educate your partner in ways to support you during labor and birth including pain relief options such as massage, relaxation, breathing, and medications.
You can also tour Weiser Memorial Hospital’s Labor and Delivery Department as part of the class which is a good time to learn about routine practices such as electronic fetal monitoring and freedom of movement during labor.
