Washington County

Washington County was officially created on February 20, 1879 from Boise County. It contained all of the area that is now included in both Adams and Washington counties. Today, the county seat of Washington County is our own town of Weiser. This is a farming area known for its onions and sugar beets.

Weiser, Idaho

Weiser was named over 200 years ago after Peter Weiser who was a Revolutionary War hero and a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Today, Weiser is a beautiful community that is full of history, quiet neighborhoods, and historic homes.

The Weiser area has many recreational activities to offer. There are parks available for picnics, cookouts, and other types of outdoor fun. The nearby Weiser and Snake River's offer opportunities for fishing, swimming, camping, and boating. The Weiser River Trail is 84 miles of road-less canyons and meadows that are perfect for hikers, skiers, bicyclists, and equestrians.
